Try to start without choking floods the plugs? need to clean carbs? how hard is that job? Also blowing out anti freeze from the overflow tube? What kind of problem could cause that?
If you are blowing antifreeze out the overflow, you may not be "flooding" the plugs. You might have a bad head gasket... O-Ring... and getting antifreeze on the plugs. Then with compression, blowing out overflow. Do a compression test first. If that checks out, then clean carbs. Still will need to find out why antifreeze is blowing out.
There is a little bolt on the housing where the hose goes into the top of the motor. You need to loosen that while the engine is running. When antifreeze comes out tighten the bolt. For some reason it get air locked or something. that is why it is coming out the overflow.
For sure check the head gasket. We've had 2 2002 600's that have had to have the heads and gaskets replaced. The heads were warped on both of them as well.
If the plugs are wet and you smell gas on them most likely your floats and/or needle valves are sticking. not uncommon after settin all summer. Pull the float bowls and clean out any crud with Carb Clearner. Rubbing alcohol works great on the brass parts but keep it away from any plasitc parts.
as for collant in the overflow hose, I would start with the simple things first. The overflow bottle cap. If the spring is weak the fix could be as simple as replacing the cap. I've also seen where the plastic bottle gets distorted and the cap will not seal properly.
If your getting antifreeze in the engine, a bad o-ring in the head as mentioned or bad base gasket are the most common causes. Both will lead to major issues if left alone, so you definetly want to trouble-shoot this one.
