2003 sportsman 600 plow question

Folks, I have a 2003 Sportsman 600 that is in great shape. 1800 miles. Love it. I bought a cabin in NW wisconsin this summer, and I want to put a plow on it. Doesn't have a winch, so I'll need one of those, mount, push tube, and actual plow. I brought it to a dealer on Saturday, and they made it seem like a HUGE problem finding the parts for a sled that "old". They said they would see if they can find the parts that work, and call me. Needless to say I am less than thrilled with that answer. I am wondering if anyone out there can make a recommendation on setups they have? Winch, plow, etc...If anything, I would like to buy the setup, and have the parts shipped to the dealer for install.
Any feedback here is very much appreciated!!

First off, I would go to some other dealer. Secondly, I would think Moose plows would make a mounting system for your Sportsman. I have a Moose plow on my '98 Honda and it works really good. I don't have a winch, I do it with the lift hanlde. I like it that way until spring when the wet tacky snow sticks to the blade, then it's heavy. If you skip the winch, it is not hard to install yourself, if you need the winch then it will take some time. Shop around I guess. There is something for your machine, and someone will be more than willing to take your money and set you up the way you want it.

Did you try Dennis Kirk?

Cycle Country plow is another one.. Check out the V plows for your ATV, its better for breaking through hard-packed, deep snow, and its better to plow with the storm than let the snow pile up and crust over if you can. Your ATV and plow blade can only handle so much weight. You can get them in a straight blade/V blade.

There is a Poo Sportsman mounting plate in the classifieds.

Hi-Performance Engineering has all you need. Plow mount is about $67, then they have a few different options for a plow and winch.

I have that exact atv and I can tell you they have everything you will need. That being said I would go with the glacier plow system from Polaris. I have the style that you have to get under the atv to hook it up and I really like the glacier system better. You just drive up to it, hook up your winch and winch it up. It really is that easy. Your atv will work great just got to find a dealer that wants your money.

Ditto to this, I bought a warn set up (thought the name was good) bent and busted the welds on the mount the first year. I would go back to a cycle country plow again, it is worth the extra $$$

I have had a cycle country plow on my Honda for 15 years or more and have had zero problems and I plow 3 to 4 driveways every snow.
