I am trying to see if anyone might have information whether or not I can put a 800 motor from a 2002 ski-doo into a 2004 ski-doo rev chassis. (the original is blown -block has a hole in it rebuilding is not really a feasable option) any help on this would be great.

I'm sure you can do it, you may have to some engineering as mentioned. Check out dootalk.com, lots of information on that site. Do a search and see what you find.
Look at the parts books and start compairing numbers. If all casting numbers seem the same then it would only be an electrical issure with the M.P.E.M. and stator.
