2005 Fusion 900 Check Engine Light

While riding today my check engine light began flashing and would then go off before I could pull over to the side of the trail. After monitoring it closer I discovered that I flashes 5 consecutive times and then will have a slight pause before flashing 5 consecutive times again before going off for a few miles. I have read on other sites that this is a common issue on the fusion and that it is simply a glitch with the sensor so I am just wondering if that is in fact true or if it is something more that I need to be worried about. The sled ran fine, temps stayed around 120 even when the light was flashing and I did not seem to have rpm or power issues. Any input on this is greatly appreciated, thanks!

A 5 blink flash means your exhaust temp sending circuit has either a low, or high voltage issue.

Does this mean the sensor itself is bad? Is it going to do any harm to ride it the last month of the season with the voltage issue? As stated earlier the sled ran just fine while it was flashing...

Could be. My buddy had an 05 900 rmk, constant issues with it. I hated that pos. Lol. If it was me, i would replace the sensor.
