I own one and have never had a problem with it. You start having problems when you start trying to get more horsepower. Have a friend that has one and the second he started tweeking with the motor he blew it up. These sleds are made to fly right out of the crate. This sled flys and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one as long as it hasn't been tweeked.

I have an 07 Renegade 1000, which is just a Mach Z with a longer track and love it. My only complaint is for an SDI it does eat spark plugs a little more than it should. It is not bad it uses a set about every 800 miles or so depending on what kind of riding I am doing. Mostly it eats plugs putting around with the kids or poking along a 2 track with the parents. But it is still a bad azz son of a beatch. Don't be afread of it, just make sure it has all of the map updates done on it.

Finally some positives! I guess it all dedpends on what day of the week it was made. It is 100% stock with 1200 miles for $4000.00. Does that sound like a fair price? Also with what 165 ponies out of the box? Why would you need anything more.

Big diffrence between the 05 and 07. In o7 they had most of the bugs worked out... beware of the crank and rings getting replaced every 2k.

Good luck

A lot of pony's in that little thing. Expensive to work on, and useually needs worked on a lot. Compaire to the same year 800 and see what the price is. That should tell ya something. I always told my self that if I owned one it would be from new. Used one you are asking for trouble in my book. Granade just waiting to happen. Biggest thing is money, do you have it to play with? Do you want to take the chance of wrappin a bit into it if needed? Do you have a second sled to ride if that one takes a dump up north? Just my two cents though.

I put a new can on mine it added about 5 more horsepower not to mention it took 14 lbs off the weight of the sled. It runs about 179-180 ponies after putting the can on. I have almost 4000 miles on mine and have only done the routine manit. on it and it will out run anyone I ride with and I weight 350lbs.

I have a 07 1000 sdi w 4000 miles. Had to replace a oxygen sensor last year. Speedometer read 119 a couple times across the lake. No plug fouling here. Just pure power so far. Just buy it!!

My Uncle has a 07 and the only two things he has was a hose clamp leak and the clutch came apart last year. But the motor has been flawless and has tons of power. Not as bad on gas as you would think. It is heavy on the front if you want to take it off the trail. He has 5200 miles on it.
