2005 Polaris chain case oil amount

Can someone please tell me how much oil needs to be put in a 2005 Polaris XC SP 500 Chain case? I have been searching google and can not find it.

From memory its around 8 oz +/-

You can go to the official POLARIS website and get a FREE download of the owner's manual supplement page which has ALL the capacities and lotsa other useful info for your sled and others gong back to the 90's

I was thinking 9 oz's, does your sled have the dipstick in the case? Mine does and it is an 01 and it says on the stick also.

It is 9 oz according to the 2004 manual.

You have electronic reverse, no mechanical differences.

put oil in until it comes out the fill tube. it is not an exact science. key is chain dips in the oil. 9-12 oz. should do it.
