How do I remove the seat from my Vector? The diagram shows two "J" hooks with nuts that appear to be inside the tunnel but I'm not seeing them.

Never had a seat off a 2005 older vector but Apex you go in at the rear exhaust cups & just follow your nose from there then the seat pulls off from 2 nylon seat tabs on each side front end of seat that latch seat in place to chassis. May need to remove decorative gas tank shield to have full acess but that is follow your nose too. Fit & finish on Yamaha sleds is very good so everything lines up goes back together easily. Should not take more than 15 minutes. If replacing donuts gas tank has to come out too? What are you fixing?

Has got to be similar to Apex. Take off black cones from exhaust. These are held on with the allen head bolts. If they are like the Apex there is a fake one on each side that you don't need to take off. Then remove the front plastic part of the exhaust covers on each side. These are held on to the tunnel with phillips head screws. When you get these off you will be able to fold back the area above the snowflap where the j-hooks are located. Also you might have to remove some of the front plastic that comes in underneath the gas tank. These are just a few more phillips screws. Use a BIG phillips screwdriver for all these screws or you will wreck them. After you do it once you will be able to do it in your sleep. Not that hard. Just looks that way because everything fits so tight.

Thanks for the info. Just looking at the seat diagram it looked like the nuts would be inside the tunnel. I was surprized not to see them there and didn't want to dig any further then I had to.I've got a tear in the seat cover and need to get it to the upholstery shop.
