2005 skidoo 800 question electrical

2005 rev 800 I told the owner to buy the correct NGK plugs for it and he bought Autolite's that crossed at the auto store. When running the spark shoots down the plug to the block. He did replace the plug wire ends with OEM. If I remember correctly skidoo ends have resistance in them and you cannot use A/M ends. Could the autolite plugs be different resistance too? He is going to get the NGK plugs today. But I'm just curious. Has anyone else had this happen?

I never heard of this....but if there is special plugs necessary to use on a sled, surely the manual would tell you that. If there is a difference...please post so the rest of us can get an education.

put ngk br9ecs plugs in and it ran fine. the autolite plugs had the screw on tips an he didn't tighten them. go figure!
