2005 Summit 800 cylinder honeing

Just wondering if anyone has honed the cylinders on a summit 800 and have had any problems with tolerances afterwards. I do not want to have them re nickilized(dont have the money). I will mic everything before and after but any tips or tricks would b appreciated.

A simple deglaze would be satisfactory, a true hone would be too aggressive and possibly damage the nikasil. If the cyl walls are in good shape with some factory cross hatch marks showing throughout the cyl. Just put in the new rings and run it.

thanks i appreciate it i figured that but i just havent messed with the nickolized coating to much before. the last time i honed a cylinder was old school before the coatings came into play we are just putting her back together the pin that holds the rings from turning popped out .
