2005 xc/sp 3rd crankcase bolt?????

Ok so Family has 3 of these sleds. 2 out of 3 first year had gas tanks crack at filler neck. First one didn't cover under warranty and had to pay over $350.00 for it. Curtis and Sons in Lanark,Il. still wouldn't cover after recall came out. Stated polaris didn't pay very much on warranty and didn't want to hassle with it!! Nice dealer. 2nd one covered under recall.Third one went through 2 crankcase bolts first one at 700 miles 2nd 1400 first one polaris paid for,2nd paid parts only. Now third one is in getting recall done on gas tank and 1 sled doing maintence tonight changing crankcase oil and found the bolt head broke off for the first time with this sled. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this or recall?? Just a matter of time before sled #2 needs this fixed. Any ideas?? Why do they break??? Can you get the bolt out with out taking track out??

I think you are talking about the chain case,and the bolt for the lower gear right?If so that is a problem.The best way to fix ths is to drill and tap the drive shaft for a 3/8 fine thread grade 8 bolt.The problem is that they use a 5/16 bolt and when the tunnel flexes the bolt breaks and then floats around in the chain case and breaks the case.
