Thinking of dropping my mains from 420 to 410. Anyone done this? Has it made a difference. Thanks

I ran this setup for almost 6000 miles
400 Mains
45 Pilots
1.25 turns on white adj screw- fuel screw
balanced 62's weights or SLP MTX 65's with 2g's on outer hole
Maroon EPI spring
While your in there double check your carb boots to make sure they are not delaminating-- rubber should be attached to the reeds and not pulling off.

I would add the SLP airhorn kit, not for the little bit of performance but you can stick your hand down the air box and re-attach the air box to the carbs-- this $45 will save you hours of frustration!!!

This setup is great for corner to corner and top speed I saw was 103mph

MNman309,

I do like the idea of running withn the SLP set up. The airboxes on the edges were a **** of alot easier to put back on. I think I will try that. Thanks.

It should be fine with just changing the mains to 400 and nothing else?

I do like the slp set up. These airboxes are a huge pain!.

Yep, drop the mains to 400, that is what I have been running in my 07 600. No deto light, even at -15.

Would it hurt to just run 400 mains without adjusting anything else? Thanks

Once the rack is loose, getting to the mains and the pilots are only a couple screws and your done, and for the cost of them its like $2-$3 a piece for the jets. And to adjust the fuel screws you cant get to the PTO/Mag side when they are installed unless you have small small hands.
