Just got a 2006 skidoo gsx 800 for a steal of a price. Needs top end rebuilt, What pistons should I go with? Besides motor problem the sled is very clean.

If it were me, I'd go with stock. Just keep in mind that it takes a while, 400 miles or so, for the chrome rings to seat in. But thats just me.

Second gig on this one. I used the two ring set up on my 01 800 and really like them. Those 800's have a lot of "desiged slop" in the pistons and I thought the dual ring would provide more support. Also how many miles on that thing? make sure to check the crank out real good since you are already that close.

The crank will be checked out and regreased. Also new seals will be put in.
Did you guys use the caged needle bearing?

Yea a lot easier to deal with. Cant remember the exact number of needles that need to come out of the old ones, somewhere around 21 or 25. If you don't have a service manual and are doing this yourself get one. Worth every penny. Make sure when you take the old pistons off you count your needles.
