ok so my buddys shock exploded last time in the u.p. we got a new one walker evans clicker was told its the same shock but come to find outs its from a 07 dragon. We put the shock in and it fit and everything but seems to be shorter the back end of the sled sits a few inches lower now. My question is this alright to ride??? We rode it around seems find just dose not have the travel as it use to have seeing its a shorter shock.

the old one was so mangled you couldn't measure the end broke off the shaft is stuck in the body and shaft is bent at a 90 degree angle

The dragon sleds were only 121 skids. The 121 and 155 skids are different. The 121 is a coupled skid and the 155 is not a coupled skid so I would have to say that the shocks are different. It should be alright to ride but make sure that the remote res. clears the track when the suspension is compressed.

It might be as simple as just having a custom shock rod made a little longer for your sled. I would think that the travel would be the same.

They are different. The 121 Dragon shock is part number 7043205. The 155 RMK shock number is 7043235. But also be careful that the torsion springs didn't get over compressed and might now be worn to the point of letting your rear end sag even without weight on the sled. Especially if the shock blew out that bad and it was only held up by the torsion springs. I always change mine out for the heavy duty ones.

rear end does not sag at all kinda bs that they sold me this shock and its not even for the right sled but all should be good for the trip if not i will be in twin lakes looking for a shock again
