2007 Toyota Rav4 Transmission

This is the wife's vehicle. I changed the oil on it over the weekend and noticed that the transmission fluid was a qt. low. About 6 months ago it was about a quarter of a qt. low. The fluid looks and smells fine on the stick and there are no puddles, drops, etc on the garage floor. I even wiped the trans. down with a rag and couldn't find any fluid. My question is where do you think the fluid is going? Is the transmission burning it and if so wouldn't the fluid be burnt. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The transmission will not "burn" the fluid and make it disappear. Have you checked all the cooler lines and the cooler itself? They are potential sources for leaks. Is this a 4wd model? If so, check the transfer case fluid level in case trans fluid is leaking into it.

It's leaking into the transfer case. Getting beyond my technical abilities so I'm taking it in.
Thanks again.
