2008 Skidoo question

Did Skidoo make a 1000 sdi in 2008? If they did whats it worth? Someone I know says he has one and wants to sell it. It has 80hrs on the speedo. He says he didn't know how to change the readout to miles. Thanks in advance.

No 1000 in 08

Yes they did, trade value is around 5200-5560 depending on the Model. Look it up on Kelly Blue book. The Odometer should be able to be changed by pressing the Button. It is not on the BRP website and must be a Rev chassis.

Also when you check the VIN there should be a 8 next to the V in the numbers and it should have MFG date sometime in 2007 if its a 2008 Model.

They stopped making the 1000 in 2007, I have one, they advertised it for 08' but cancelled it due to lack of orders.

It was supposed to come out, but I think they had very few spring orders because the new 800r was widely available and pretty close on the HP (800r is 151 or so, and the 1000 was 170?). I think anyone who spring checked one found out in fall that they were getting an 800 plus extra goodies instead.

Let everyone know. He may have bought it in 2008 and thinks its a 08, the Vin will tell. Check KBB or NADA the value is less for a 07.

Never did get a look at it last week. I'll post something when I finally get a look at it and check the vin # The guy that has it has been full of B.S. in the past.
