Check engine light: At the end of last year the sled ran rough, max’ed at 7500 rpm. Service team replaced spark plugs, cleaned power valves, replaced fuel filter assembly and replace idler bearing. Now, this year the check engine light came on/off sporadically. Battery went dead so replaced and it ran fine for 20 miles, however the check engine light started to come on/off again. After another 10 miles, the check engine light came on hard (full time in the digital display) and the sled max’ed out at 29mph / 5400 rpm. Looking for recommendations. Could this be the exhaust sensor? I believe the exhaust sensor is the same used on GM vehicles and a replacement part can be found at a NAPA store. Anyone familiar with this part or these symptoms? Hesitant to pay another $700+ and not get my sled fixed.

It is hard to say without knowing what codes are being set it the computer. One thing you could check before taking it to the dealer is look at the bottom of the coils. I had a 09 600 etec renegade that had a coil that went out. On the bottom of the coil there was some goopy looking stuff coming out from under the sealer/rubbery stuff on the bottom of the coil. When it started running bad I could shut it off for a few minutes and restart it and it would run good again for a little while. I was less than 50 mi from home and managed to get it back but it was getting worse the longer I rode it. Could also be possible you have a coil totally dead. This is kinda one of the downsides of having all this electronic stuff and fuel injection on newer sleds, You are at the mercy of the dealer to be able to hook up to it and tell you what is wrong and fix it.
