Okay so Friday after work the plan to go north didn't happen so got home today and started loading up to leave Christmas morning after all the family fun anyways started it up let her warm up a couple min then starter to go up the ramps and it just locked up dead in its tracks. So drug it off and pulled the head off and it looks like a complete repeat of my 580 it looks like someone beat the top of the piston with a hammer and chisle. It's a speedwerx 600 to 800 big bore kit I've always ran race gas and top of the line lubricants. Has anyone ever had this issue?? If so how did you handle it??? This sled started life as a wrecked snopro 500 and I bought and put it all together so I know everything was good and it gets torn down at the end of each season. And I don't understand how it can be so messed up when I haven't ridden it since last year it's been torn apart since and now I have one really big hunk of junk. Now part 2 I have an m8 will I be ok to ride on the trails with it I'm not overly worried about the track because it needs replaced its bent over from previous owner I'm assuming trail rode it a lot. All help appreciated

A couple of questions come immediately to mind......did you completely drain the gas from the fuel system and tank when you put it away? Did you use brand new fresh gas? I know, silly questions but you didn't say and it doesn't take but a second with crap gas..........good luck.

As to the M8, you didn't say what size paddles but if the track is already junk why worry about it? You should be O.K. for a long weekend, etc. as long as you don't mind replacing slides..........we need snow BAD

Modman,..
Too bad it is a Holiday, (parts wise) cuz you can fix an engine quicker than
I can change a tire! So I figured you'd Still have it ready to go in time!
That bites bro.
Have a good time on the other sled anyway!
and Merry Christmas!

Be Careful!!!!

I heard Santa's deer may be hittin' the egg nog a little hard this year!
