2010 Polaris Headlight Dim Until Engine Restart

I have a 2010 Polaris IQ Touring with about 1300 miles on it. This past week while riding, the headlight would dim and the gauges would stop working. Once the engine was stopped and restarted, everything would be normal. This happened quite a few times during 4 days of riding. I think the regulator might be failing. Any thoughts would be great.

Thanks

Had the same thing happen about a month ago on 2010 rmk 600 immediately after starting it. Hit the kill switch right away, restarted it, no problem since. Been riding worried about the regulator since then though. Did you change yours? Any problems since?

This sounds like a computer problem but you could check a couple other things.

First make sure the grounding is rock solid from the battery to the chassis.

Then go over the harness and see if there is a bad plug shorting out or not getting good contact.

I don't know if Polaris is still putting in a load sheding devise, I have one on my 04 and when it fails the lights go dim and then come back on. It has not failed completely yet. I do have a spare for it when it goes.
