Looking at buying two new Polaris Turbo IQ LX sleds. They are 2011 sleds still in the crate. Wondering if there is anything out there that we want to know about these sled. I already have polaris so that is not the problem. They are the 4 stroke motors. We are being told that we should be able run at least 10,000 miles on them with no problems. Just wondering what might stop us from buying them?

Polaris has their 4s sleds sorted out by 2011. The IQ platform is old in the tooth but that could be a good thing depends on the way you think ...leading edge or old & proven? Polaris has ben quoted in the mags as not putting much R&D $$$ in 4s now & focus is on DI 2s to bang heads with Doo. So does Poo really mean this or hands full with DI2S for now? For the right price you should buy very little risk.:)

I have a 2006 FST Classic, which was the first year of the four stroke turbo engine. They had a couple of first year issues that Polaris took care of and they seem to have any issues long behind them. I have put 11,500+ miles on mine and have been very happy with it. I think you can get closer to 25,000 miles on them. I have it for sale in the Classifieds. I think you will be happy with them.

Yep price is the key to the purchase. If you can purchase non currents for a song it would be a really good deal! If price is high look around at other brands for 4s sleds. Many very good 4s trail & powder sleds out there now but you have to pay for the new tech.
