2011 Vector LTX GT?

The wife and I have decided to jump ship on Polaris this year. We are highly considering the Yamaha Vector LTX GT's. We currently have 2008 Polaris IQ LX/s. Love the turbo 750, and know that we will loose some HP, but that is OK. We are looking for good warranty, and reliable trail sleds.
Any one have any experience with the 2010 Vector LTX GT's, and want to share? Good and Bad. We would like to hear.
Thanks in advance!

2010 Vector fuelie dynos about 130ish so FST varies 140ish & then 150 mid boost so not a real big change in HP but spools a bit different. 2010Vector stays with 2010 Apex LTX 150 until 80ish then 150 pulls away but usually race over by then anyway unless going for long top end lake run. 2010 Vector geared for trail grunt & gas MPG should 18-22 when broken in maybe more depending on riding style but will not see worse than 18 mph no matter what you do. Buy Bergstrom triple points & ski savers for corner carving & dartless riding. You are very lucky to find 2010 Apex LTXs left over Pat's sold 25+ 2010 Vectors. You won't be disappointed trail riders luv their Vectors.

My parents both ride 09 LTX's. They really like them, they get around18-19 mpg. As stated above, you will need some new carbides of your choice, we put on Stud Boy Duece bars and they are happy with them. Did have to have some warranty on the front end, not really sure what they had done but made a big difference in the darting.

Where are you headed to? Gregg at Johnson Sales (Arlington, Wis) sells a lot of these. Heard I guy I know put 3000 miles on an '10 and got 22 to 24 mpg for the season. I wish Polaris would come out with a 4 stroke in the 120 hp range that gets 22 to 24. I have no need for 150 hp and 14 to 16 mpg. I'll keep driving my XC for now. A lot of people I know back in Columbia Cty have jumped to Yamys from Gregg.

Mr Freeze put 8300 miles on his vector this last season, he loves the sled, no problems whatsoever

We are in West Central, WI. Over by EauClaire. We have Zacho's, in EauClaire, and 3 Brothers down in Onalaska / LaCrosse. Guess it all depends on the deal / trade allowance they offer. I can say it is getting to be an expensive sport now that four strokes are more prevalent. I would go no other way than Four Stroke now. We love them. Now just depends on if we can afford the jump to Yamaha. Thanks for the feed back.

If not happy with trade allowance throw us a chance at them IQ's.

Sorry Wishbone, deal went good. We are now going to be Yamaha RS Vector LTX GT owners.
I do have some Polaris items for sale now.
2 new never used, Kevlar drive Belts (Part number: 3211121) normal price is $140.00
4 Accu Track II Dual carbides still in package (part number 2875431) normal price 71.95 per pack, 2 required per sled.
If you get an IQ make me an offer.

Fusionfool, you will really like the Vector.
I would invest in gauntlets, either soft or hard, because your only complaint will be warmth of the ride. As for smooth trail riding and power, you will really be impressed. These are some high quality sleds and I think you made a great choice.

Fusion, we have the gauntlets. We use the soft ones. Even the IQ had a lot of wind around the hands. Supposedly Yamaha has new hand warmers on the 2011 that are going to be industry best. We will see. Funny, never used to even turn the warmers on, now I ride with gauntlets, and turn the warmers to med most of the time.

I agree with Whitedust. Bergstrom Triple Points are a must with the shims. As far as it being a cold ride, I always put the mid height windshield on right away. If you buy a 2011 it appears yamaha has changed from all low windshields to mid heights. At least that is how my 2011 Apex XTX is coming. One of my complaints every time I bought a sled in the last 3-4 years (1 a year) has been how I have to change the windshield from day one. I have four Yamaha sleds (listed below). The 2010 Vector LTX GT is my groups favorite to ride, not as fast on top end as the Apex, but overall well balanced sled. Grip warmers were fixed for the 2010 model year. Finally.

2006 Apex GT with sno-trackers
2007 Attak GT with sno-trackers
2009 Venture GT with bergrstrom triple points
2010 Vector LTX GT with Bergstrom Triple points
