2012 Pro R 600 DET

Cruising around last week and sled went into DET. Kept doing it time and time again.

It's been really cold in the UP. The other morning it was -22! Highs somewhere in the teens.

I always run 91 non ethanol...always because it's always in the central UP. I've never used any ISO with the fuel.

I can hear the fuel pump running and I thought it was the belt rubbing the clutch.

I was reading the service manual and it says that if you use NON ethanol fuel that you NEED to run ISO in the fuel to prevent freeze up.

Has anyone heard of this?

You need to add ISO to the fuel now and again. Generally not every tank/ you could just top off with ethanol 91 oct but best not to on the last tank of the weekend. Your DET could be water in the fuel, I would try a bottle of ISO.
