Polaris has had issues with gas tank readings for a few years, and it's no better on my new Axys. On my 2012 Adventure, mine did the opposite, it would show me almost empty and I'd have at least 4 gallons left. Your dealer may have an idea, but I think short of bending the float arm, there isn't much that can be done.

My 2013 800 Switchback Pro R is doing the same hondaman. Even got the flashing indication and I was only able to pump in about 4 gallons. I'm going to give it one more ride and then call the dealer and see what they say.

My wife's 2013 had same problem. Dealer replaced fuel pump assembly under warranty in December. Works great now. Good thing for 4 year snow check warranty. Saved me $500.

On my buddy"s FST and my Cat we have replaced the plastic float as they both had liquid in them and our gas gauges were reading low when we had plenty of gas.
I'm suspecting that the hollow plastic floats are getting condensation built up in them when you fuel with the warm fuel and water builds up in them over time. Water is heavier than fuel so is trying to make the float sink causing the lower fuel indication. This is just our theory has when we removed the float it had liquid in it with no apparent holes or cracks.
Replaced with new dry and empty float and fuel gauges are working great.

My Cat's fuel guage is overly sensitive, reads empty with a couple gallons left. guess it really does not want to run out! I actually just go by miles instead of the guage.
