well only 50 miles so far, had to fix a coolant leak and hook up electic shield cord today. It rides good and handles all right, think Woodys dual runners well help, will have too play with suspension to get setup for me.

I'd also love to hear some reviews from owners of the SRvipers. I rode the cat version last spring and couldn't get a good idea of it because the clutching was absolutely horrible and the gas line was pinching somewhere and causing it to stuttter and die. These were early early demos so I wasnt surprised to see bugs like this. It felt really light and sounded awesome, but thats all I could determine.

I've owned 800cc 2s of doo and poo for years now and my biggest complaint is feeling like I need to trade before I hit 4000mi (avg 2 yrs) because I've had meltdowns on both brands. Getting close to crossing to a 4s but I want at least 150hp and light handling. I really like my riding buddy's 1100T Cat but it breaks something every other ride.

Just have 130 miles on 2014 Yamaha SR Viper XTX SE , the ride is very similar to the ac f8, controls are ac, the long track seems to hook up quick, very very nice ride , we did hit some rough trails and the sled handled great, ate the bumps up, tuning the suspension to my riding will come later, just getting broke in. Will comment more when more miles are added---very happy with the ride as of now!

Well got 50 miles tonight and it rides very good but it does not handle the way I think it should. It is very skidesh on the front end and likes to dart so i think i will put some more wieght on the skies and see if what helps. My wife got a brand new 2012 Vector LXT with eps and just loves it.She can almost keep up to me in the bushes.

I would be very curious to get a comparison from someone between the Viper LTX and a Nytro XTX, specifically in cornering. I currently ride the Nytro XTX and am ok with it but would look for my next sled to corner better. The Nytro is a bit top heavy on a twisty trail and requires more effort cornering than other sleds do. I absolutely love the motocross feel of the Nytro though and do not want to give that up on my next ride.

LTX or XTX is my question. The Viper looks and demos great, hopefully it will be equally as reliable. Outside of the front end wearing out, the Nytro has been perfect in 10k miles so yes it would be tough to go away from the brand or 4 stroke.

Purchased 2014 Viper XTX SE from Meyer Yamaha, sled runs like a top, smooth even power, track profile hooks up great at 141" skid, Fox Float 3's are easy to adjust to your riding style. Meyer's did my 500 mile service and sled is great, did add 6" slim jim dully carbides to fine tune the heavy feel while turning. Have on back order a Mid Height smoked windshield, low factory windshield "SUCKS"! Love the sled!!

Have 810 miles on my ltx se viper now did the first oil change today and chain case there's no drain holes on belly pan so makes a real mess of things and no drain plug on chain case so have to take hole cover loose and pull away about a inch engine oil is fairly simple no worse than my apex. Coolant is leaking so have to go thru all fittings and tighten . Have to be careful with all screws and not over tite or they will strip this thing was not built by yamaha that's for sure and cats quality of production was way better back in the 80s and 90s but anyway on to the good stuff it's the best riding sled I've ever had corners great does not feel heavy at all unlike my attack.seat and position is very comfortable power is good esp midrange tho I can deff tell there is one less cylinder and 20 less horsepower but will still do 100 but no more than that. I have 120 studs down the middle and bergstrom 8in good n ulgys with ski savers and no darting some guys are darting. Brake is fantastic one finger touch but does a little skweal once an awhile . Really like the gauge but haven't learned half the stuff it will do.
