2015 Polaris Indy 600 ES Starting Issues

Hello,

Have a 2015 Indy 600 ES that won't electric start anymore. It will start if I use the pull cord, but the ES won't fire it. The sled runs perfectly fine when driving, no warning lights or indicators of any issues at all. When I turn the starter over, it will attempt to turn it over, but only for a few seconds and then it just dies. I tried putting a booster pack on the battery to see if that was the issue, same result (the battery is only a year old). At first I was thinking starter was shot, but wanted to check with the experts to see what they think ?

Thanks all !

I had a similar problem on a 600 ES a few years ago. Dealer told me it was a loose battery cable attachment. I doubted that, but whatever they did fixed it. I know Poo has had some problems with ES over the years, which is why I no longer buy sleds with the option.

pull battery and have load tested, a yr old or 2 weeks, , they can still fail!
modern things need GOOD power to turn fast enough to start things!
any chain auto parts store can load test battery for you for free, fast easy and rules that out 100%, so can better problem solve once knowing for sure its NOT the battery!
a volt meter reading doesn't tell the story
and if cells in battery are BAD , adding a booster pack, might NOT work, as it will try charging dead battery more than having enough power to spin starter if you follow here!
NOW if you fully disconnect battery and install a KNOWN good one,, this too will rule out current battery, but load testing the battery is a good idea here?
I have bought brand new battery's that had bad cells, so, age, doesn;t really matter!
