2016 Polaris 800 engine issues

I have a 2016 Polaris switchback assault 800 that that loses power when at wide open throttle. When wide open it runs at 8100 rpm (which I thought was low) but randomly it will cut out and drop rpms to the 6k range for a second then back up to 8100.
Does anyone know what would cause this?
I put in new spark plugs and it didn’t fix the issue so it isn’t that.
Thanks in advance

Check/replace the relays. The valves are electronically opened, controlled by the ECU. Sounds like at least one is losing contact or outright failing. This was not that uncommon of a problem. There is one in the little bag above the clutches, two above the cross member above the exhaust, and two by the battery if you have ES.

Is it throwing a code?
I ride a 2016 Rush Pro S 800.
I JUST HAD THIS SIMILAR PROBLEM.
Rode it on Black Friday about 80 miles. It started throwing the check engine light, and it would govern me to 6500-7000 rpms.... 65mph.
I'd kill the engine, fire it back up and shortly thereafter, the light would return. Your display will show you the code, just don't kill the engine before finding the code.
Mine was for Throttle cable adjustment. Might be yours as well.
My very well versed Polaris mechanic confirmed my throttle cable needed adjustment. I haven't tested it yet.... Just got out of the hospital. Spent the week of Christmas with respiratory failure due to Covid 19 sypmtoms. Four negative Covid tests later..... no one knows why I almost died.
I digress....

Also, my Polaris mechanic swears by replacing pistons and doing cylinders at 3500 miles. To avoid knocking sensors getting thrown.

Good to hear that you survived COVID! My wife spent the week after Thanksgiving in the ICU with COVID Pneumonia as well and it just about took her as well. The virus has a way of affecting people in different ways. I also had COVID but was able to shake it in about 3 weeks. Enjoy the rest of your winter and hope your sled runs fine.

Curiosity is getting the best of me... got an update? Did you find the cause?

I plan to look at the sled this weekend to try and figure it out. Thanks to everyone that gave some suggestions.
Plan to look at the relays and the primary.

Sled has 1800 miles now and is not throwing any codes on the display.

I don't think it has ever been cleaned. Did have a high elevation spring and weights put in it for a trip to West Yellowstone 2 years ago, not sure if we did any cleaning then.

my 2017 was doing that after I had the engine rebuilt, my mechanic told me to get rid of the SLP can I had on it, once I did that it was cured

symptoms were: check engine light came on, cut my rpm's to 6850-7000, no engine code.

I have the MBRP trail can maybe I should try it with the stock exhaust. Sled still revs up to 8100 rpms but randomly cuts out for a second or two then goes back up.
But I don't get a check engine light.
