2nd Amendment poll

Obama's new Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2ndAmendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms

Here's what you need to do:
First - vote on this one.
Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published.
The Question is:
"Does th e Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?"

http://www.usatoday.com/news/quickquestion/2007/november/popup5895.htm

Vote "Yes" or "no"....then watch the amazing results thus far.
I think Mr. Holder needs a History lesson.

I live in a suburb of Chicago where Mayor Daley has a "so called" better idea. He has an ordinance that no one can own a gun in the city. According to him, "then the only ones that have guns are the police and they will protect you."

It doesn't seem to be working.

I didn't know this but EVERY gun owner in Illinoisy, has to have a I.D. card if you even OWN a gun. Long guns, short guns...whatever.

Now that there is down right scary!

Hey, everyone knows that guns kill people, right? So if we got rid of all the guns...nobody dies, and we all can go buy ice cream and sit on our front porches and never worry about anything ever again. And the good fairy prince will drop checks off in the mail and we can all go play in the park and be happy.

Your close, but the way I understand it you need the FOID (FIREARM OWNER'S IDENTIFICATION CARD) to purchase a gun OR AMMO or to have one transferred to you. Once you have the gun('s) and your FOID card expires (4 years) and the guns do not leave your property, your good.

Having a FOID card DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO CARRY!!!!!!! To transport, must be unloaded and in a case out of reach from you and passengers, ie the trunk.

I might have 1 or 2 ........ (of each caliber)

I voted on this awhile ago, but since I'm close to Chicago, I should be able to vote again. lol.
notice the 10 years you need to keep paperwork on a transfer.

If you do not have a valid foid card in Illinois you cannot hunt. I do not see a problem having th card. I think if you are caught without a gun card the penalty should be stiff. They said all these gang bangers in Chicago that are caught with a gun nothing happens to them. They just need to make jail time mandatory for people caught with illegal guns.

there in lies the problem. if you let the modernday politicians decide what a illegle gun is then they will all be illegle. lets just conceal carry and then the crime rate will go down

An illegal gun is any gun that the owner does not have a gun card. You need a permit to have concealed carry so its not the gun its the person. You do not need more gun laws just stiffer penalties for people that do not follow the law or do not have a gun card. I believe every state should have concealed carry just look how no guns does for Chicago. How can they tell you that you cannot protect yourself they will do it. They need 2000 more cops its a good reason not to move to crook county (cook). I do not even like to go there and give them any of my tax money.

So let's say you're visiting your uncle Elmer Fudd on his farm in illinoisy, when he loans you his shootin' iron fer huntin' "wabbits" on his property. Uncle Elmer, the owner of the gun, has his FOID.

Does his loaning you his gun constitute a "transfer"? Do you need your own FOID in order to borrow uncle Elmer's shootin' iron? When you return the gun to uncle Elmer after the hunt, does that constitute another transfer? Do you have to complete the appropriate paperwork to document each such "transfer", and retain such paperwork for ten years? Does it make a difference whether or not uncle Elmer accompanies you on the "wabbit hunt"?

thanks.
i can't believe how shooter friendly it is, recoil is practically non-existant, easy one handed shooting and very accurate.
for fun i emptied a 12 round clip at a 5 gal bucket a good 15 yards or more away, both eyes open, shooting quickly and basically point and shoot and hit it 8 out of 12. probably just lucky but I love the way it feels and shoots!
