We went to the UP for 3-4 days and loved it the trails were fabulous and kids wife and me were happy to experience some good food and seeing new sights. We were lucky or well prepared as no sleds broke down and we put 310 miles riding on the trails...Very well groomed and wide....some narrow but most wide...the stretch from trout lake to Rygor was awesome.....I mean like hitting 80 mph on a 20' wide road that was groomed and smooth n see for 3-5 miles...safely.
I was happy all we passed used the hand signals and made me feel good as to the safety of family and friends..... My as far as a cheep trip no hauling 7 sleds and trailers it was not cheap but a very enjoyable experience. The trail ticket or sticker for $48.00/sled was worth having as the trails groomed and smooth every morning was an amazing feat by the local clubs and they should be commended as it takes man power to cover those miles of trails...
Locals were nice and it made me sad when they knew and can see the end of the snow coming....so I hope it snows for 6 weeks in the UP.
The video feed that are on this website made me feel safer driving 600 miles to ride...knowing there was snow...Good Job..
Next year...Ill be back...
