Knowing how many dog/pet lovers there are on John's website, I thought I would post some information on this here. 370+ dogs, some cats and birds were confiscated from a residence in Allegan County, Michigan on Monday. The dogs were covered in feces and many are sick, all have fleas, etc. The amount of dogs is going to increase significantly, as many of them are pregnant and expected to give birth within the next couple of weeks, or so.
How these people got away with this for this long is unbelievable and so sad. You would think the first person who went there to purchase a dog would have turned her in. A lady who went there for that reason turned her in this past week. They said on the news the stench was unbelievable & could be smelled about 20 feet away from residence. They think it may be the largest amount of animals ever confiscated in Michigan. Anyway you can see/read all the details on woodtv.com.
Anyway, obviously they need supplies such as:
-Dog food (soft/canned especially)
-Blankets
-Towels
-Laundry detergent
-Bleach
-Grooming materials
And especially:
-Money
-Gas cards
-Time
***People to adopt them into loving, forever homes
They are not being adopted out yet (they will go to an approved rescue first, as the shelter is only set up to care for 36 dogs and they have 370plus), but forms can be filled out under petfinder.com (Allegan County). Also, more information is on the Allegan County Shelter's Facebook page or you can contact the shelter directly at (269) 686-5112.
Donations and checks can be dropped off/sent to:

I have been doing some spring cleaning and had some things set aside to take to another shelter/rescue, but now it will be going here. Going to give a them call for more information this morning.
Thanks for reading and in advance for the help that may given. I just heard about it from my mom and found out more information and thought I would post it on J.D., as there are so many that care here. It is so terribly sad & awful what some people will do to hurt/harm/abuse animals and people. Their judgement day is coming.
Thanks again and have a great day---Give all of your pets a hug and a smooch!!!
