4-stroke Valve Adjustment Intervals?

I have found the valve adjustment interval for the 4-stroke sled engines vary, and surprised that Arctic Cat recommends a 5k miles check/adjustment, seems low compared to the rest.

From what I could find Doo recommends it at 12.5k mile, and Yamaha is 20K+.

Anyone care to comment on what the cost is for this service on any of the sleds?

A friend had 6K on his 07 Z1 and had it done. It needed it and it wasn't cheap...like $250 + he needed a $300 sensor which was a PITA to find...and it cost him a week+ of riding.

My Vector has just over 10K on it and it runs like new. Never have touched anything on the engine except that carbs, plugs and exhaust donuts.

Did the Wife's '07 Jag at 5000+ miles. I had one exhaust valve tight. Luckily for me I went next size shim then what was recommended, put it right in the middle of tolerance. Since I was in there, I put them all in the middle; 6 adjusted. I believe most of the settling will happen in the first 5000 miles. Took me 12 hours, no manual no outside instructions.

When I did my '09 turbo, much easier, no stupid airbox to fight with (2 hours alone). 6 hours but no adjustments needed because Cat opened up the tolerances.
