I love the big foots talk.

Just an observation from this dim bulb but as a guy who's been checking into 3 or 4 sled sites since around 2002.....14 years is a long time to debate oil....lol...Other sled sites seem low on participation in the off season as well.

Best reason for me to stop in is to get and sometimes give trail reports. JD is the best site for da snowfacts.

It has seemed that the boat forums I go on have been quite dead all summer too. Maybe there is a swing away from this type of media to more Facebook, twitter crap?

I hear ya totally.
same topics I've been reading since '99 just get beat like a dead horse eventually.
Don't sweat it though pretty soon this site will be flooded with fools bi%^&^%@ how the trails are rough with 6 inches of snow on the ground and temperatures in the 40"s.

actually just the opposite for me.
Since the revamp I've been able to access it on my iphone and ipad ( user friendly! ) but not my desk top at work.
Today waaa laaaa,,, got access to discussion board on my desk top. ( boss prolly not thrilled but whatever )

New site has been hard for me to get on. Maybe for others too.

Maybe it is all relative to the conversations regarding this sport being a death spiral and the younger generation not getting involved. Deep thoughts by snobinge....

I see many posts that feel depressed, that the sport is almost gone - dire straights.
Then you go for a ride, and there are plenty of smiling people out there.

I booked a weekend in Cadillac last year, the posts / reports made me feel like I made a mistake.
Still one of the our best-weekends-ever.

Are we missing the good old days when we had the "snowblower" stuff going on????????????? It would appear so.

Lot's of sh** going on with the election, Cubs winning the World Series, warm fall......etc. Now that those are over and snow is in the forecast, I suspect things are going to be picking up. It's tough being a sledder when you're in "hibernation" mode for 7-8 months out of the year. Was watching Snow Trails last night and was getting me pumped to do some riding.
Speaking of riding, my normal annual sled trip is usually a small one (4 dudes) + my 2 German friends that come in. This year will be 9 + the Germans and 2 of those are snowmobile virgins. Perhaps that's what all of us on this site need to do is get more rookies into the sport!
SO, I'll leave that as a "to do" for all of you on this forum, how about we all try and introduce some new people to the glorious snowmobiling world??

Sitting in HI isn't helping my snowmobile thoughts any.
Love it here so far but hope to return home next week to some REAL Nov. weather to get the snomo-juices flowing.

Wife's not to happy. I'm starting to spend all my time in basement watching snow machine videos on YouTube! She'll be even more upset come winter time! Can't wait to take some trips!!!
