Not going to work the **** out of it.just going to play with it on some wk.ends at my land 1 1/2 hrs. from home, has a loader so I will use it for snow, and brush in the woods
Have a Farmall H that is what we did with that also,But that was 30-35 yrs.ago and the crappy fuel then was prob. better than the good fuel now.Just got the motor unstuck at deer hunting.(had put good stuff down the cylinders the past 9 months)Has not ran in 10-15 years.
Just run fresh gas in it. ( don't fill tank full and leave it sit for 6 months cause it will go bad if you don't stabilize it ) No need for lead unless ur gonna plow 10 hours at a time with it
If it has not had a tune up for a while I would think about that. try to find quality points and condenser and copper plug wires.
Also prob would recommend little hotter plugs than stock for utility work in winter. 560 likes choke when its cold unless some one changed the stock venturi but should start any time. Sorry I rambled on.
Tim.
those old tractors were built back when they still had leaded gas. M dad has an 856 diesel, and a 560 gas like yours he puts a lead additive in the tank every so often . Damn good tractor , back when they built them to last...... Im a big IH fan ......
The reason for lead in gas back in the day was to cushion the valves from the seat when they close because they could not make the valves and seats as hard as they do now. So it's just help the engine from wearing out if your not putting hundreds of hours on it unleaded gas is find but adding some lead won't hurt either.
