600 etec summit low elevation clutching recommendations

I ride a 2013 SkiDoo summit rev xp with a 600etec and a 154" track. I ride on and off trail and have done a decent amount of bolt-on mods( reeds, full exhaust) but haven't done any clutch work yet. It seems good how it is now but I know there's always room for improvement, I assume with it being a Summit it has a high elevation clutch setup. I've done clutching on all my previous sleds, I just like to do my homework before I go throwing stuff at it. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Most Summit models around here are set up for low elevation when purchased from the dealers. If it was set up for high elevation you would definitely know it when you ride it in low elevation areas. You could always take the clutch out and check the weights to be sure but I would almost guarantee that its a low elevation setup.

Mine wasn't. It isn't hard to do and Doo has all the elevations published. Pop ypir clitch off and check what you have, its a pretty quick job. To change, at minimum, you will need a heavier spring and heavier weights for your primary. I think the ramps are pretty good for all elevations if you are just looking for baseline changes. You could call Goodwin, they helped me when I got my first summit.

Thanks for the replies, it may be set up for low elevation because it rides pretty good. I purchased it used and it came from out west, that's mainly why I questioned it. I think I'll ride out the rest of this season and get me a nice kit this summer. Thanks again!
