I'm trying to get the electric starter out of my 2007 700IQ. I have the left motor mount off and the bolts out of the starter. How do I get the starter out of the hole? Thanks, Doug

Isn't the starter motor mounted on the bulkhead on that one?

There is two Allen bolts holding starter gear to the engine case. Underneath the exhaust manifold. IIRC, manifold has to come off. And just unbolt the starter motor. But the cable from the starter motor to the gear drive slides off the starter motor if you just have a bad starter motor.

This should be how yours is. But if its not, disregard this.

No this is actually the 755cc motor like the 900 Fusion. The starter is under the engine at the rear, right under the injectors.

A friend just did one and I think it came out on the clutch side and one of the bolts is accessed through the
Belly pan from under the sled

You win the prize! I took out the pipe and muffler to get at the right side motor mount bolt. With this out you can pry the engine ahead enough to get the starter out. The of the failure was the VES solenoid vent hose was hanging right over the starter and doing a fine job of oiling the brushes. I put on a longer hose and routed it out the belly pan. Thanks for the info!
