130 miles and it makes me want a trail sled again!!! Super linear powerband with a great hit up top...

Big thanks to the guys from trackside for hosting this. I did get a chance to ride the 800E-tec and meet Hiawatha. (that guy is nut) Anyway, The trails were absolutely destroyed and i don't want to be negative but i really wasn't that impressed. In a side by side shootout my sled (09 summit x 800 146") would destroy one of those sleds. The clutches didn't seem to backshift very well at all. Whenever you would get off and back on the throttle again it would bog pretty bad. Now with that said i am not sure i am comparing aples to oranges here because like i said the trails were just wrecked and that might have affected hook-up and riding a summit my sled is geared at 19/45 where the 800 E-tec is probably somewhere around 23/43 and on a packed trail with 2 1/4" paddles i get good traction. Just one opinion from one ride. Take it for what ya will

I'm sure the bugs will be worked out by the time the sleds hits the market.....I know i had the same mis-givings when i bought the 600 E-tec....but the motor is super smooth, and never misses a beat...granted, the super hard punch is not as noticible, but it may be because it is so smooth....the E-Tecs are winners...

I found out that the gearing for a stock 800r short track is 27/45. That would explain why my summit with 19/45 gearing pulls so much harder. I figured it was something simple
