Can I pull both carbs off as one unit to clean them out or is there a certain procedure on getting them off of the engine?

Yea both come off together. Take air box off first to make it a little easier, secondary clutch also if you really want some room.

Hey thanks, I just picked two of them up over the weekend and they had been sitting for 2 years.
I put fresh gas and new plugs in one of them and it will idle, but when you give it gas, it will sputter out. I figure the carbs are all gummed up.
Another question, do I have to take the seat off to get the air box off?

No, on the oil tank side of the air box you take the snorkel off the side of the air box, then take the secondary clutch off, then wiggle the air box out. Not to bad to do after you do it once.
