Yea its kinda simple.... Just pull that pin on the top out and the pads will just pull up throught the top (use a pliers to pull them up). Then just drop in the new ones and put the pin back in and your good to go!

Probably a little more to it then that, but its close. Its not really all that hard to do, just getting the new pads in and lined up to put the pin in can be tricky. And if things are rusted and stuff, could make it harder. You might also have to take the whole caliper off and use a c-clamp to press the piston in (cant remember been a while since I last did one).

Should'nt take you anymore then 30 min total either way. Good Luck. Have fun!

Should be two bolts on top of the chaincase holding a "U" shaped bracket.

Take the two bolts out and pull the whole caliper assy up. Slide the "U" shaped bracket off the caliper and you'll see how easy it is.

I always use a "C" clamp to push the piston back in before installing back on the chaincase, it makes it a bunch easier to put it in.

Make sure you pull the brake lever several times before you ride it to get the piston back where it belongs or you won't have any brakes at all.

ok, got the new brake pads installed on the 94 Indy xlt special. Still no brakes. The piston wont go in and out as you press the brake handle.

Any suggestions?

thanks
