The old cat runs great with almost 5k on it but last year had to put a new clutch on it and now 1500 miles later, my local guy says the spider pins are spinning, which ruined the weights and now I need another one. A refurbished one is $350, a new one is $450. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cat has a sale on clutches now ask your dealer or send me a pm and I will tell you how to get one cheaper.

Take it somewhere else. If new one year and 1500 miles aint happening. Also hard to figure what your saying. If a roller freezes up (stops spinning) it will grind on the weight trashing it and the roller. The pin on the bottom gets a little slop on the weight. If too sloppy will cock over and eat into spider once again trash job. But it aint happeng in 1500 miles. If hes an honest guy it will cost a lot less than 350 to get you going again
