Nice riding. Is that backhoe sunk there?
Track hoe is sunk to halfway up the engine. The turbo ran away and started feeding off cooler oil. It wouldn't shut down with the ignition, they tried to cut off air by stuffing a towel in the air filter intake. Still kept running. To save the engine, they u loaded 3 fire extinguishers into it. So now they have to take top end apart to clean it all out before putting new turbo on.
To the left of it they've got a cat dozer buried 3/4 of the tracks buried. It was going in to help get the excavator out.
All happened 3 or 4 days before the mud event, they wanted to expand the ATV pit.
If the turbo wouldn't have run away on the excavator it'd been pretty much a non issue. They'd of got the hoe out, the dozer sunk in deep when they were saving the engine on the hoe. After all the excitement, they just left them there till after the event. Their other dozer wouldn't start. So they just used tractors to finish up the "must do" stuff for the event.
