Youtube Snowmobile Vid's to Help Keep Summer Movin' - Colorado Feb. 2010
Well let me start by saying, I sure do miss seeing everybody's pictures and video's on this thread. I would check the guestshots page everyday that I wasn't sledding just to help me get past the blues of not sledding myself, IT HELPED!! So good, bad or ugly I'm putting up a few video's I took with my Vholdr Contour HD helmet cam. This was my first time using a helmet cam so please don't judge on quality, actually all of my best video's are to long for Youtube so I am needing to figure out how to edit HD video easily (I took 81 video clips on this trip). They were shot in the Colorado Rockies back in February of this year and after 4 days of riding we got 5+ feet of snow.
Day 1 started off with bang, Jim White or "Whitey" launched his brand new Arctic Cat Hillclimb Edition sled into a meadow hole and and broke an A-arm. We used bailing wire to tye it back together, gave Whitey the option of us going back to get his spare sled, an Arctic Cat 141" Crossfire or continue on our ride on across the Continental Divide to Steamboat for gas and back. Crazy man Whitey said ride on so we did and it held together thru some of the worst terrain I have ever ridden, it was sweet!! Here's video of what is now known by all sledders as "Whitey's Hole"...

Day 2 also started out with a bang but this time it was a good thing... The snow storm has officially started. We woke up to some serious fresh stuff and even the ride up from 8,000 to 11,000 feet to our play area's was a blast. Here's 2 vid's shot at the beginning of our day at about 8,500 feet...

Here's vid from day 2 still down around 9,000 feet playing in some hills and tree's. I was still getting used to the new setup on my renegade. The week before the trip I changed out my front A-arms and steering rods to a Summit ski stance and took out the sway bar so she was tipping over real nice...

This video is pretty funny in my mind because even though my buddy and I could'nt even hold onto our sleds anymore we just could'nt stop tearing up the super deep powder. Warning, there is one F-bomb word in this video, do not watch if can be offended...

Here I am trying to make a Ski-Doo 600 E-tec Renegade 137" climb in some super deep snow. By the time my sled made it to its destination (yes my sled, not me) I had given it 3 attemps and was happy to have made it up, the other sleds playing their were all 800-1000 long tracks and most were able to tackle this "smaller" climb but there were alot of sleds getting stuck because of so much snow.
