Just thought I would change up the theme of what seems to be constant pissing and moaning about nonsense, and actually share a positive experience.

A few weeks ago I had a motor go down ( and it wasn't even a Polaris! ) , due to a freak oil/water pump shaft failure. The motor was basically a complete loss. Trashed the crank, ran it out of oil, overheated and locked up all in the same instance.

I put a call in down at Rt. 12 just to see if they had ever seen this failure before. I had absolutely no expectations of getting anything for free, I was just looking for an answer as to what may have caused it.

They said they had in fact seen this failure before on a select few motors. They ended up putting a call into Cat and low and behold, I now have a brand new motor. Complete long block! Way above the call of duty, and I am one happy camper!!!

Thanks Rt. 12!! A++!

Same story, my gas tank neck split on my Crossfire. They said it was a case by case situation, I went home with a new one. Knowledgeable and fair.

It's good to hear something positive for a change. We're having one of the best winter's in recent memory for snowcover, nothing to complain about except for the people that hate winter....the Polaris 800....the cost of propane....on wrong side in the corners....and my personal favorite, the reference to the "Broomstick in Washington", that one made me smile.

It is good to see that both Cat and R-12 Cat dealer realize that good-will comes back 10 fold in business. The days of saying, "Never heard of that one before" are over and folks on this board should pay attention to who stands up for you and who just sells sleds. Good testimony is where it is all at.

Patronize those who do the job....it is good for you, the sport and everyone else who rely on great service.

Good to hear this. I've been real happy with Chad at MM and the work he has done for me, but I've never found that type of service down in my area. While Rt 12 isn't in my backyard, it's not 400 miles away either so its good to know there is a stand up shop down here too.

Rt 12 and crew are the best. They've been my dealer for fifteen years and have never, ever let me down. They know their stuff without the BS. Thankfully they're close to where I work, or I would have to drive over an hour just to get to them. Heck, I would anyway.

I had the exact same thing happen on my 06 fusion 600 a couple of years ago. My friend rebuilt it for me, it had about 9,000 miles on it. Didn't even think to contact Polaris or my dealer, maybe I should have. Runs great now.
