Nice story, John. It's always good to see snowmobilers in the press with a positive outcome.

Keep up the awesome work you have done with this great cause, John. You should be proud.

Sorry we have to miss it this year, maybe again next year.

Hope everyone has a great time.

Thanks all. I just want to say that I did not start this thread to pat myself on the back. I did it to show that the local news paper (which as been criticized on this board lately) does also print positive things about our recreational activity and that there can sometimes be positive things said about snowmobilers. I thought the article was well written and just wanted to share.

I see that this thread (with a positive title) has been viewed 162 times, with 4 responses as I type, but yet the "Stupid, Stupid, Stupid..." thread, which got posted 5 hours after this one has been viewed 707 times, with 19 replies. Makes me sad, but explains a lot.

Thanks for being a great community leader John and thanks to all the businesses and snowmobilers that support this worthy cause year after year.

Making a child smile, who has much bigger challenges in life than bumpy trails, makes it all worth it.

I think I can speak for many of us when I say that thought never crossed my mind. I took it for what it was, just as you described above. Great all around article for the snowmobiling community and the businesses up there that support the Ride In.

That is sad on the thread views etc., but not surprising. :(

Apparently "Nice" doesn't draw much of a crowd.

Excellent article and hard as it is for some to believe, people still do read the newspaper. This article highlights the good things that come from the snowmobiling community. Every successful undertaking needs an effective leader and fortunately this event has one. His name is John Dee (modest as he is).
