A question to people in Iowa

Last weekend I went out to visit ISU and I noticed the speed limit on I-35 was 70mph north of Ames. It is also 70mph on I-80 west of Des Moines?

It's also 70 on I-80 west of the Quad Cities to Iowa City and then west to DesMoines.
Pretty scarey huh?

Ya and if you do only drive at 70 mph you will get ran over! When I go down to Des Moines its 80 on 80 and you still get passed....

So it's 70 mph on I-80 from Davenport to Iowa City and then from Iowa City to Des Moines in addition from Des Moines to Omaha. Great to hear.

It was 65 mph when I was going to school so if I visit ISU again it will take me less time it get there. (Or I can go 75 without worrying about the star plated vehicles around Davenport, Amana Colonies, & Newton.) Thank you.

Oh, I didn't go south of 30 but it is 70 mph between Ames and Des Moines. I assume its back to 65 at Ankeny. Sounds good. Thanks everyone. Ames sure changed over twenty years but it was nice to see it again.

I used to Love making the drive from Pella, IA to visit my family in Chicago when I had my 03 Ford Lightning!
