? about a Writer Staying with us

we have a writer staying with us, he writes Michigan Back Roads books anyway he want's to take us out for dinner/cocktails and doesn't want to drive an hour 1 way, but a 1/2 hr is good give or take a little, he's been to Henry's. Many of you know where Paulding is....not to many choices, and we don't get out much anymore . We want to keep him in Michigan but Land O' Lakes has a lot to offer.
Our thoughts
Lake Gogebic, but where
Iron River, Alices

Any suggestions would be great, he usually writes about where he goes

Or, Up Chucks Bar is accross the street.

Root Cellar? 1/2 Pound Bacon Cheese Burger is the best!

Bent's Camp on the Cisco Chain. Most of the chain is in Michigan anyway.

Both on the west side of the Lake.

Thanks everyone! We gave him his choice between Root Cellar and Bents Camp as they were the most mentioned. He has been to the Root Cellar but never to Bents and has never seen the Cisco Chain.....So Bents Camp it is!! Thanks again for the help!!
