I've been doing a little internet research on rejetting a Polaris fusion 600. I've seen quite a few places that see that adding the SLP horn kit makes the job a lot easier, as the hardest part supposedly is getting the air box back on.

It looks like this is a relatively cheap upgrade. Anyone have any experience with this?

Go the HCS website under fusion in the forum section and see the Stickys and you will find alot of info on this subject.

I put it on my 06 Fusion 600 HO when I had it. Makes life a lot easier putting the airbox back on, and getting to the carbs. You have to split the airbox open, and take out the horns and guts, then zip tie it back together, but it's helpful. Then you'll be good. Not sure you even need to jet up at all, since from the factory they seem to run fat already, but you could go up a size. Not sure that I saw much in improvement for performance, but it definitely made putting the airbox back on a lot easier, after cleaning carbs etc....

I have one on my 07 600 RMK. I bought it soley for the purpose of getting the air box back on easier. As far as jetting, I am running 400 mains, needle in number one, same as it was before I added the SLP kit.

I looked into this a little more...looked like you still use the original air box, you just cut parts of it off. How does this make it easier to install? Maybe I am missing something.

Because you can then reach down through the air box to line up the carb boots on the outside of the carb intakes properly.
