Accessability Question

I was planning on staying at the MagnusonCopperCrown, formerly the Best Western in Hancock, MI. Because of its "downtown" location I'm concerned about truck/trailer/sled parking, trail access and just general access to the facility itself. Because I have difficulty walking (hence my handiman moniker), I don't want have to walk too far or climb over a bunch of snowbanks to get around. I'm hoping others could share their experiences regarding this while staying there.

I usually stay at the Ramada, but they're booked for the dates I want to stay (Feb. 2 - 5)
Thanks for your help.

You won't have any problems with the location. Ample parking which is cleaned daily & your close to the trail of which is about 2 blocks away. Enjoy your stay.-Mezz

Not sure if they still do but at one time they owned a garage across the street that you could keep your sleds in overnight...???

I don't recall it having an elevator so suggest you confirm you can get a ground floor room when you reserve.

Parking ok. I think there's parking at/under the building and a decent lot across the street for trailers, etc. We parked two vehicles with 2-sled trailers there fine. May be tight for larger trailers if they are busy.

They have a nice heated garage across the street to park your sled. It takes some jockeying to get your sled in/out and around other sleds if crowded so either you or a buddy may need to be able to drag the front or back around. No other great spots to park the sleds except your trailer.

The area is kept pretty clear so no need to climb snow banks to get to either the lot or garage. Trail isn't too far away but you will likely need to ride over snow banks or along thin snow roadsides to get to/from the trail or gas stations.

Old and basic but clean with a nice staff. I'd stay there again.

No complaints at all in regards to the motel, accommodations and the services received by staff. The staff was VERY helpful and personable. I'd stay there again, but not for snowmobiling. My trailer ended up in one location, my truck in another and my sleds in the 'sled garage'. There was just too much involved with getting the sleds in & out of the 'sled garage' for me. It's OK for the able bodied, but not for me. I ended up cutting my trip short.
