Alger SORVA Groomer Building

Hello all. Hope every one is having a great summer.

We have been working on building the temporary groomer building this past week in Wetmore.
No crane so we got real creative. Sure its not OSHA approved lol. We got all of the big spans up using this method.
Who says a Polaris RZR is all play and no work? ;)

This giant tent is a China special. The directions it came with are absolutely a joke. This has been a giant puzzle that you just figure out as you go and hope you don't have to redo because you did wrong or in wrong order.
We did this all with 2 people. Every one is busy.... Lots to do in the non snow season around here.

The club is going to be doing a ride this Saturday. If you are in the area check out the facebook site. It has all of the details. https://www.facebook.com/AlgerCountySorva

Joe and Marie are good people. (Owners of the http://northstarhotelpicturedrocks.com )
I will be working with Joe tomorrow to prepare the old party store for demolition this week. He owns the land where the tent is and the old store.
He is going to help us with his bucket truck so we can safely get the rest of the roof spans in.
Waiting on hardware for the temp building. Going to use carriage bolts so there is not a bolt head rubbing on the cover.

Yes they are special people. We started staying at Ricks Hillcrest when we first started coming up there. Through him, we met many, many of the local people.
Then changed to The Northstar(and it's other names) after Rick died. Joe was telling us about what was going on and what he now owns.
I remember years ago stopping at the store for gas, etc. I cann't remember the owners name but he was a great guy and always ready to help. The Pizza Man

Well the temp building is finally complete. What an adventure. Bad Chinese translated directions and plenty of missing hardware along the way. A video has been posted showing the cover being installed over the past weekend.
Now we have a lot of trail work to do. Any one in the area looking to volunteer for trail work let me know!
