Had a little OTB action on my mtn bike Sunday night. Had a pedal strike on a rock on a fast downhill section and over the bars I went. Bounced along the trail on my head/face/shoulder for 15-20' and just layed there for a minute or so to determine if I was OK. Thought I had blood running down my face but when I took of my helmet to check it was just sweat. Then I looked at my helmet. Holy crap, broken in 3 places. So I can't emphasize enough if you're riding a bike/snowmobile/motorcycle/ATV always wear a helmet. It may sound silly but I really feel mine saved me from serious injury.

I picked up a new lid last night that has a accelerometer built into it that connects to your bluetooth on your phone and if it senses a immediate stop and no movement via GPS it will send a text and your location to your emergency contact. So along with the Apple watch doing that also I now have my helmet calling for help. (kind of like on-star) Its reassuring as I almost always ride alone.
