American Pickers - Nahma, U.P.

They were advertising this on the radio up here today. They were having a viewing party at the inn. This is just South of Munising on FFH 13 @ Hwy 2.
Pretty cool. Guy bought a general store that still has all this crap in it from back in the day. The town was a logging company town. Now 55 residents.

I just watched that show and my ears perked up when they said the UP!

watched it last night. they talked about opening a brewery but also said the town only had 55 residents. do they have a gas station? is it a fuel stop when snowmobiling?

Charlie "Mac",(Macintosh) he was born, raised & schooled in Lake Linden. I know him, & his family, he is a card! He should be dealt with! LOL. I have not seen him in quite a while, & other than his hair, or lack there of, :eek:he is still the same good guy!:cool: I enjoyed watching.-Mezz

Nahma Junction ?


Looks like the trail goes through there. I don't see a fuel stop,but it looks to be available @ Rapid River.. It looks like there is a bar/grill as well as rooms to rent though....

There's nothing there except the hotel/restaurant......if there's a groomed trail it's really new.......last time we were there on sleds had to be at least 3 years ago and that was following the road......and for whoever said it was at FFh-13 & US 2, it's at least 7 miles south of there.....and the road is NOT very good.......

Dave, the show "Pickers" is about "Mike & Frank" whom came to the U.P. sometime this fall in search of their treasures. "Charlie" was the gentleman featured in their stop in Nahma which is where Mike & Frank were Pickin...-Mezz

Interesting. To get to our place off of 2 we go north on 13. We've drove down to nahma once and it just looks like a VERY small town where everyone hangs out together. I love the UP. There must be some treasures there for mike and frank. Good show but I haven't seen that episode.

It was cool to see them in the UP! I thought they were going to stop at that Junk/art dude in Rapid river. That dude would be great on the show. Stopped there a couple years ago on the bike and the dude has so much stuff in that shop.
