America's got talent

Just curious abut the voting thingy on the show. It seems like the acts that move on to the next round are not based on the pure number of votes. For example, early on in the contest and for that matte,r all the way through to the end except for the finals, acts are grouped together in some sort of categorizing. I was made to think they all run in order of votes only and no category. I realize they have general category of acts but when the results of voting come we see singers, magic, dance all together and someone sent packing, We don't have an opportunity to vote in category but the show itself lumps them together somehow. I hope there is a better explanation because it seems the show itself has more of a influence on the outcome than the voters

I think they have lost focus, the winner gets $1mil and a Vegas show correct? I don't think his talent is suited for a Vegas show, the 3rd and 4th place acts sure were!

if you saw his performance before the finals you may think differently, he had probably 10 other musicians up there with him. I think he could be a better Vegas show than the old crew, diamond, manalo, streisand, etc,,, this dude can sing with the best but for a total Vegas experience, fighting gravity keeps your attention very well.

Prince poppycock is a fair opera singer at best and to be politically correct, yea, he's a Vegas act, but why, because he is gay and if someone disagrees he is a bigot, I believe that's the way it works these days. So I'll be the first to say he's got problems

Really? you watch that
The strange variety of stuff on there, make it ridiculous to think one is the best of all.

It's like taking a snowmobiler, a cross country skiier and an ice skater and having a contest to see who is the best.

The fact that show is popular, only shows Americans are mush headed noodle brains. IMO

Don't forget to switch over to "Minute To Win it", the drinking game show without the drinking.

not so sure they are saying one is the best. It's a variety show to see what America likes, it's entertainment. You win a million bucks and get a Vegas contract, no doubt it's interesting.
