I think you're refering to the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn. If it was me I'd go to Zenders it's right accross the street. Great food and all you can eat chicken dinner Good Luck.

The Bavarian Inn and Zenders are both good places to eat, but I also prefer Zenders. And the buttered noodles are to die for (just my own opinion). Hmmmm... I have a coupon to get one dinner and the other one half off at Bavarian Inn, and this is my day off and I live 35 miles from Frankenmuth and it is suppose to be a decent day. Just might go there...

Both are decent Bavarian Inn provides a series of smaller dining rooms that offer a little more privacy. 1 screaming kid in the main dining room of Zenders was enough for me.

Zenders Zenders Zenders... butter noodles, chicken seasoning on the chicken... Ohhh so gooood! Good beer.... Bavarian Inn isn't bad either but I prefer Zenders!

Bring you wallet for either place though.... do the 'all you can eat' family style dinner. Like I seen above.... arrive hungry!

Bavarian I think is better. Do the Family style meal. Zehnders is more chicken, Same family owns both.
I think I'd have to go along with polarisrider1, although I haven't been there in many decades.

By the way, it's the Bavarian Inn.

Ahh, Rouladen … Weiner Schnitzel … Jäger Schnitzel … Kasseler Rippchen … ooooh, "now me hungry"! {drool}

Maybe I'll have to do Bavarian Point (Mesa, AZ) tonight?
(Although I did have a bad experience there one night … I made the mistake of arriving 30 minutes before closing; unlike any other restaurant on the planet, they refused to seat a party of two at that hour, in genuine Prussian style, not unlike something from Hogan's Heroes: "No, you vill not be served, you vill be shot!"

I'll concur with Polarisrider and Nash.....my nod goes to Bavarian Inn, though both are good and I sure wouldn't pass up the chance if somebody wanted to go to Zehnder's instead!

Was at Bavarian Inn yesterday and had chicken from the luncheon menu. Was good, BUT I had to order a side dish of butter noodles and it was a bit pricey for the little that I got. If I remember correctly, Zehnders serve the buttered noodles as part of the luncheon. Even if I had to pay, the side dish was heaping with noodles and lots and lots of crushed crackers on top. YUM!!! YUM!!!! So I guess I now prefer Zehnders...........and their bakery in the lower level is UNBELIEVABLE.

Should not have read this thread. I'm hungry now.

We generally do not see German food here that is done in a similar manner to the real deal. Sounds like they do it right at both places.

Try to steer clear of Frankenmuth, you don't want to get stuck going to the big christmas store (seems like a fire trap to me)
